The day started off with my usual Aerobics class which I conduct in my house, and cooking and another set of Rope jumping for 30 minutes for my self, accompanied with some weight training and stretches. Husband says lets go pick up the curtains for our bedroom, (we have just moved into our new house) and we leave, finish shopping , have lunch in the house and after clearing up, I lie down to rest, for it is the month of February, very hot.
I doze off, and get up to …

There’s something about continuity. It’s always welcome.
It’s predictable…mostly.
My father isn’t an easy man to deal with. Sometimes I wish I was
comfortable with the idea of being gay. Just to rattle his cage. So I
had to settle with being a sewage disposal consultant (everybody’s a
consultant).
He was very unhappy with me, to say the least. When I get home in the
evenings, he’d say over his shoulder,”Don’t forget the disinfectant!
And shower outside!!”
It’s how he runs me down. It’s cool. It’s worth every moment of
watching him squirm when we have guests. Naturally they ask …

“Looking out of my office bus window, I realized that the invention of motorcars were nothing but a waste of time. We sit inside the tin boxes discounting the fun of natural phenomena like rain!
I kept starring at the massive jams outside and somehow a thought came to my mind, why am I being so depressed about this rain. After all when I saw outside, cloud where on ‘cloud nine’ and it raining very heavily…And then
I took the CORRECT step…
I decided to complete …

Glasses swirled. The Old monk rested. Mixed with Soda and ice cubes,
it waited patiently for its date with his senses. It wouldn’t be long.
Fingers were busy. It was not every day that they found themselves
handling a cigarette with clichéd style. Half done, thought the brain,
unaware that the real deal was to come from the last two puffs. It was
a day of surprises. Surprise for the body and for the mind, both of
which stood powerless, watching as he plunged into stimulation – for
the first time.
Gaurang smiled. He felt like a consultant …

Year: 2025
Damn the battery! shouted the boy, cursing the cell phone in his hand,
which innocently continued to blink a little red dot on its forehead,
whilst the screen robotically announced repeatedly -‘Battery Low’-. X,
sitting next to him, curved his lips in a hidden smile while his eyes
toyed with the little red blink. In spite of the stealth used, the
teenager managed to catch a glimpse of the little curve on the man’s
face. He flared. ‘What are you smiling at?’ he sniped. X, his cute
smile intact, without a blink, grabbed the cell phone …

I wake up with a start. It had to be a nightmare.
What else can possibly explain it?
Dazed, I glance at the clock. 4am.
Waking up scared, night after night, how long will I suffer?
I snuggle under my sleep-warmed quilt and my hand reaches out
to stroke the cold half of the bed-Empty since the last month.
All I want to do is curl up and weep.
But the tears have all dried up, sucked out from me by the same dark
angel that crushed his skull to unidentifiable pieces that evening.
I feel cold inside, without …

Even in the dark, I could see, the end was near, death was throwing open it’s arms to me. I could feel my pulse ticking, my heart was drumming in my ears,” any minute now” I thought to myself.
“Chikne!! table saaf kar” the man in blue loongi yelled at me.
I hurried to dutifully do the same, after all Anna bhau’s eyes were on me. I had come to Mumbai a day back, the last train from the village left at 3 am, I with the unerring logic of a 15 …
